Kenmore elite washer with calypso

washer will not spin.  Has a code of CA or CI.  Basket seems to be stuck, but if I remove the gear under the cap in the bottom of the basket, it will spin.  What could be the problem?  And where can I get a service manual?

The problem could be a bad U-joint assembly...here's the  Calypso Manual
