whirlpool gas dryer no heat

 ?? I have a whirlpool gas dryer that runs but no heat and timer appears to not be working .Shuts off manually though. It is a 4 cycle 3 temp model 14 years old . ANY SUGGESTIONS

Check Timer movement in the Regular (non-auto) dry cycle ..

You may have a bad Thermal Fuse...
also check & clean the Vent system ...

most likely the thermal fuse, 2nd on the list is the ignitor, then possibly gas coils. if your lint screen is on the top of the dryer you thermal fuse is a white strip w/ 2 wires going to it  . its behind the approx 8   screws (1/4") to take the back panel off. if it has the lint screen inside the dryer the fuse is located behind the bottom kick panel, it is also white, but will be oblong shaped w/ 2 wires to it. you have to pull the lint screen and remove 2 screws to remove the lint duct and youull have a clear shot at it. (only w/ the kick panel model)
