ice maker dispenser not working??

side by side fridge with the water and ice on the door....about 6 months ago the ice just quit coming out the door all of the sudden..when i try to get ice from the door it doesnt make a sound or anything...ice maker works fine, just tired of putting my dirty hands in the ice pan....whats going on here guys???

Although you did not mention whether the water button  works or not, it is highly likely that the problem is centered around 2 areas...the  microswitch that is pressed when asking for ice, or the actual dispenser board, shown below. It controls the  ice door and the augur motor functions, so if it fails, nothing happens. There should be a mini-manual for your frigde under the lower kickplate on the left side in a small envelope which might help you out.

yea, the water doesnt work either, where is this board located at and how much would it cost to replace it?

Did you just ask that after I showed you the diagram of your dispenser parts?


 I also said the little switch (#72) in the diagram, might be the problem. It doesn't cost near what a board will. If you don't have a meter, you might want to get one.
