Kenmore Dryer starts but does not continue running

I am working on a Kenmore dryer serial number MR2205631. It will start and function properly only if you hold down the start switch. I have replaced the switch and thermistor with no change. What next? What am I missing?

Broken belt

Belt is fine. The dryer will remain running as long as you hold down the start button. It heats, the drum rotates, etc. as if in perfect condition. The only thing is that as soon as you let go of the start button the dryer stops running.

Motor Relay .. in Control Console

try swaping with Heater Relay

Well then you have a broken belt micro switch. When the belt breaks the switch shuts down the run winding in the motor. Just a guess

Reg is right on. It's going to be the  relay or the Even Heat board sometimes.
Do the swap-out first to see...
A thermister failure would not prevent the unit from running.
