Maytag Washer wiring from motor to start switch

Hi this is my first post so here I go.
I have a maytag washer model A608 . It has a 2 speed motor part number 2-1666-2 with a start switch attached to the motor. I removed the start switch so I could clean the contacts & got some of the wires mixed up. I know where the wires from the washer to the start switch go because I took a photo of them, howeber there are 6 short wires that go from the motor to the start switch(yellow, yellow, violet, orange, blue, black) And I don't know where they connect to the start switch.  I have attached a schematic and a photo. Can anyone help me?

Go ahead and put your wires where they go as you know it and then match the wires from the motor color for color. Just a guess

Thanks for the suggestion, but the colors on the motor do NOT match the colors of the washer. If I just knew what motor colors matched up with the overload protector, start winding, run winding etc I would be good to go.

I have the 2-1666 on a Maytag A8440. Let me know if you need me to take a picture of the wires . . .my current problem is also related to the motor start switch.

If you will look real close at the wires and the terminals you will see they are numbered.

I just removed an A608 start switch in hopes that a replacement will fix my poblem.  The terminals are numbered on the bottom of the switch.  There are two tabs per number and you can see that the upper and lower tiers are actually shorted together.  My switch was wired as follows, starting at the upper right (as viewed from the front) and going clockwise (12 total):

 9 upper   White     Washer
 9 lower   Yellow    Motor
 5 upper   Orange    Washer
 2 upper   Brown     Washer
 8 upper   Yellow    Washer
 8 lower   orange    Motor
 1 upper   Red       Washer
 1 lower   Red       Motor
 7 lower   Black     Motor
 3 upper   Black     Washer
 3 lower   Blue      Motor
 6 lower   White     Washer

The wires to the motor appear to be smaller that the washer ones.
