I just had another technician bring one to me last week (Kenmore 70/80 Series?) who I helped with the same issue everything checked out FUSES/Door Switch/ etc. He also replaced the timer thinking that was the problem. I found a slice in the white wire (don't remember if it was White with Black or just White) running from the motor to back of the machine - cut the slice out and spliced in a connector. That was the cause of the Dryer not turning on. The Cut was just at the point where the wire crosses between the back wire brace and heating element. Take a look there.
