Maytag Range

My range has a F9 code + beeping.  I pressed CANCEL but the F9 + beeping returned.  I've unplugged & waited.  The oven door latch will NOT allowed the oven door to close.

The control panel is fine...clock works.  But, the oven door still will not close.

I really need help....thank you in advance.

Mr. Webster ~ I appreciate your reply. 

I'm more confused than before.  I plugged in the range...used the front burner to cook something to eat.

The oven door NOW opens & closes....NO F9 code or beeping....but the now the control is completely blank.  When I pressed the clock (to reset the time) .... all I get it the word OFF

I'm so confused.  What do you suggest???

If the panel is blank then that is probably a loose power wire.

Thank you for your help.  I've scheduled a service call for tomorrow 3/26.

I contacted a service company that was on a referral list sent by one of the technician on this site.  The company I chose was beyond helpful...and the owner actually listened to the problem beginning with the F9 code to the now blank panel.  He even called for verification that the clock was available.  Apparently, the clock is the brains of the range.

The owner is sending an technican out 3/26 to verify the problem is actually the clock.
