Dryer not drying consistently

Family is complaining that the clothes take FOREVER to dry. Ok... clean out ducting.. Did that (not too bad, since I cleaned proactively about 6-9 months ago). While in there, confirmed that the unit goes on, ignite starts, and gas flame goes on ... everything looks OK.

Dryer seems to work OK, but later loses ability to warm up. Seems like it is Ok for first load, but then won't stay warm for later loads. Later loads are cold... airfluffed but not very dry.

I'm thinking this may be a weak or malfunctioning gas valve.  (BTW: Are the solenoid coils replaceable on this model?)

Any directions to go?

Thanks. After reading your explanation, and searching more through the forum, I think think you've hit the problem straight away.

I'll do the repair; looks like the coils are only $20 or so, simple.
