Dishwasher runs 9 seoonds and shows cycle completed

My Sears Kemore dishwasher will only run a few seconds and then shuts down with the cycle complete indicator light coming on.   When I choose the cycle from the touchpad, the cycle indicator light comes on but will not stay on.  Same with any options I choose. No time displays on the timer until I push the start button.  Then it shows the number 9.  The machine does start, but it counts down to 0 and the machine then shuts down and the cycle complete light comes on and stays on.  I can repeat that cycle over and over again.  I can't determine whether it is the touchpad, controller or timer?? I have disconnected the ribbon cable from the controller to the touch pad and cleaned it.  That did not help.  I also checked the other wiring and made sure connections were good.  No outward signs of component failures.  Your help would be appreciated.

For the benefit of others who have read my post, the problem was the control board.  The timer and the touch panel were fine.  I purchased the control board locally through an independent appliance part dealer for $79.95.  I got a quick response on my issue from JustAnswer.com.  It cost me $15, but I got a response within 5 minutes and it was accurate.  Hope this helps someone else with a similar issue.
