Refrigerator cooling very poorly

Hello,
My question is very similar to Morbus from a few months back. This refrigerator
has the freezer on top and the freezer is working very well. About a month ago
the refrigerator was also working very well and was freezing my food, so i turned the
dial down to number 5. Instead of just turning down the temp a little it turned
down a lot. And ever since I have not been able to get the temp back up. Is there
anything I can do to fix it? I don't think I would be as lucky as Morbus' wife to hit
just the right spot and fix it! Thanks,

Is this Fridge in the Garage or an unheated space ?

The freezer is working very well. Making ice and everything.
I noticed frost on the back of the freezer.
It is just in my kitchen, not in the garage.

You are describing a classic defrost system failure.
One of the 3 compnents of the defrost are not functioning.


Defrost timer, part # 215846602


Defrost heater, part # 5303918208


Defrost thermostat, part # 5303918202


You can use the Frigidaire refrigerator manuals in this forum to see how these  components are checked, and you will need to have a multi meter to proceed.
