Broken Belt Whirlpool Dryer Question

Good morning,

Mid-cycle this morning during a dryer load in my Whirlpool Electric Dryer I heard a sound which sounded like someone opened the dryer door.  After that, it wouldn't start up again, so I took the top off of the machine and saw a broken belt.

I rotated the drum and the thing fell in the inside where I dug it out after I got the front of the machine off.

In any case, I now need to order the part.  Before I do, however, I see in the parts diagram that there is a broken belt switch wire and want to make sure that doesn't need ordering and replacing at the same time that one replaces the belt.  Not sure if that is a package kind of deal.

P.S.  I checked continuity on the thermal fuse and thermostats and they show resistance so I am not planning on changing those unless they have some kind of relay that craps out if one has a broken belt.

When the belt breaks the switch kills the dryer. I have repaired many or these. Never had to mess with the switch. Pretty complicated dryer. Oil all your rollers and your idler with high temp zoomoil. ($2 at ace)
