Whirlpool Duet washer

Just had my duet do the same thing as the one in this topic (lights on, won't start) last night.

Turns out the door close sensor switch had broken off. There's a little black push switch at about the 2 o'clock position inside the door frame (above the door lock mechanism), and the tip of the plastic switch had broken off, leaving the hollow plastic pin exposed where it had broken off. What was left of the tip was nowhere to be found.

I temporarily fixed this by cutting a bamboo shish ke bab skewer tip about 1/2" long and poking it into the hole in the plastic. It's pointy enough to stay in place, and large enough to push the switch. A toothpick would probably be to small. Kind of a MacGyver fix, but hey at least I can wash clothes again  

Now my problem is that I can't find the part number for that little bugger so I can replace it properly. Anyone know the part number or official name?

Sorry, I was trying to be helpful in the other topic.

I have exactly the same model number, with exactly the same symptom.

The temporary fix is obviously only temporary, but it let me identify the exact cause (the switch tip being broken off) and resulted in a working machine.

I have a suspicion that the door lock assembly contains the "door closed" switch as well, but I cannot tell from the pictures of replacement parts I have found. Sorry if the inquiry of a part number made it appear I was hijacking the thread.

The door lock is the switch and mounts inside the front frame.
The door hook mounts on the door.
