Whirlpool washer LSQ9030PQ5 spins slow or not at all.

The washer agitates and drains OK. During the spin cycle on any setting it will run slow or not at all. The motor coupling is fine but I noticed gearbox oil spayed around under the washer. I pulled the gearbox and found oil on top and in to the clutch assembly. I cleaned the clutch with brake cleaner and reassembled. While testing the spin cycle I noticed the clutch housing was spining but not the brake assembly or tub. The clutch did not look worn but should it get replaced? Also can I get seals for the gearbox for the oil leak? Any input would be helpful. As of now I need to run the spin cycle several times to keep them from dripping.

I would replace the clutch and the gearbox if it was my washer.

I will replace the clutch but I would like to rebuild the gearcase to save on the cost of a new one. Since the oil went into the clutch I would assume the top seal for the gearcase is the problem. What items beside the gearcase cover seal (item 3) do you feel I should purchase. Possibly the pinion seal (item 6). Are these parts readily available and at what price. Also, are there any tricks to pulling it apart without gears falling apart in my hands. Thank you for your help.

i dont know about up in the USA but down here in canada we buy a rebuilt gearcase for 99 dollars when we bring in the old core, and then we get a one year warranty on it

price the parts up before you go through all the work, dont forget to buy new oil for it cause you will lose enough splitting the case that it will need a refill
