Electric dryer turns on but won't run

Is there a fuse or could it be a belt---where can I get a diagram of the dryer wiring? Thanks!!

If it sounds like it is on but not tumbling, that would be a broken belt.
Unplug the dryer.
Remove 2 screws at the lint filter door.
Use a putty knife to open the lid back and see if your belt is missing/broken.

When I tuen the dryer on I hear some faint clicking noises but it does not run. It keeps making the noise until I turn the switch to off.

Check the fuse mounted on the blower housing. Be sure to remove the blower housing and inspect the blower. Remove all signs of lint in the dryer and dryer vent.

If the fuse is fine then the door switch or its little actuator arm is broken most likely.

If it were a door switch, he would not hear the timer advancing like he does. Here's the diagram for you...  Wiring Diagram for LER7646

According to the most excellent diagram provided by RM it is not the door switch if you hear the timer motor running. The duct fuse (shown above) is tied into the start switch on this particular dryer.
