GE Adora buffer replacement

One of the plastic buffers in the drum of our GE Adora broke off.  I can find the piece online but no instructions on how to install.  Does anyone have any idea how to do this?  Thanks

The baffle is held in place by  screw  from behind the spinner basket. Betcha want to know how to get to it .

I suppose it's going to involve pulling the drum - and then replacing the tub seal too

Maybe, maybe not...if you follow the instructions in the manual to take off the top, you will see a vent hose from the dispenser going to the top of the tub. In some cases, the mounting screw can be visualized with this hose removed and the tub rotated. The other way might be underneath where the drain hose mounts to the tub. You'd have to feel your way to the screw, but you may have access without having to split the tub shell apart.  Give it a looksee.


If the mounting screw broke off the old one, you better retrieve it to use again, as just any old screw won't work on the new baffle. The old one  may have fallen into the  pump filter.
