"E F" error message

This Kenmore Elite refrigerator had "EF" error message.  The customer said he unplugged AC cord several times and the error message always came back.  When he tried again when I was there, the error message did not come back and everything worked OK.  Anyone has seen this problem?  Anyone has longer version of SM for this model?  Thanks.  Sung
