Cleaning while plastic handles and surfaces

We have a double range and a white refrigerator. We're now finding that no matter what we do, we cannot get the white plastic parts to come clean. It's getting so bad that we're thinking of ordering new parts to replace the older ones (and possibly in black where possible).

Before we go this drastic route is there a solution to this or, as one of the installers noted years ago, it will continue to get dirty and reach a point where you can no longer get it white again.

Mr. Clean Magic Eraser

I have found they work great on refrigerator handles.

The refrigerator handles I have used them on are a little textured and wiping them off with a dish rag and soap sometimes just does not do the trick.

The magic eraser really seems to get the job done.

Just remember all you do with the eraser is wet it. Do not add any soap.

If the white handles are really just dirty and not discolored a yellow color I think you will find that the eraser will work great for you.

 The magic eraser is amazing. I recently discovered that burning a candle for extended periods of time was making my textured refrig. handles dirty from the soot. My usual ammonia and water spray mix didn't do anything except spread it around. The magic eraser wiped it right off. I don't burn candles anymore.

I carry a magic eraser in my tool box inside a zip lock baggie so I can wipe things clean after I get my dirty hand prints on them.

They do work great and like AJ said you just need to wet them, don't add any soap or other cleaner to them.

Those things will clean just about anything they even take off tar without any solvent truly amazing.
