Maytag Dryer
« on: February 11, 2009, 02:13:19 PM »
My dryer is making a loud noise while it is drying clothes.  It still is drying the clothes well and in the normal time, but just making alot of noise.  Any ideas as to what is causing this?

You could possibly have coins inside the tumble vanes in the drum.
You could have worn drum glides on the front drum support.
You could have worn drum rollers on the rear of the drum.
You could have a worn or sticking belt tension pulley.
You could have a screw missing causing a misalignment in the cabinet.
You could have worn drum seals.
You could have a worn blower wheel.
You will have to disassemble the dryer and inspect these parts.
