Lennox G26 Combustion Air Blower Part Number?
« on: February 10, 2009, 11:54:44 AM »
I'm looking for a factory part number for the combustion air blower.

Model Number: G26Q3-75-6
Serial Number: 58985 19027

This is for my own furnace.

The motor still runs, but it's getting noisier. It started last year and I was able to oil it. Oil helps for a bit, but was thinking maybe I should replace it before it quits for good.

Thanks,

I see the resemblance of the blower housing in the one you posted a photo of.

Here is a photo of the one I'm working with.

Lennox is totally unreasonable in their pricing. Almost any other brand sells the same functional part for 1/2 to 1/3 the Lennox price.

I was a little shocked when I seen some of them prices, but then I don't do HVAC work so I have no idea what the going rate is for furnace parts.

So Lennox furnace parts are kind of like G.E. appliance parts, Generally Expensive?

Them prices are way too high. Must be list. What you need is a  115 vac 3000 rpm motor with a 3/8ths shaft counter clockwise from the shaft end. You already have the blower wheel and housing although it might be a butch getting the blower off. You can't oil that puppy either.

This assy. is available at many sights for many different prices from reasonable to outrageous. (as with all things on the internet) It is also available locally from a Lennox Dealer if they take the liability risk of selling parts out the door. When in doubt call a professional that cares about quality. Personally would not have a Lennox product in my home, when it comes time to replace the furnace contact an Amana Dealer. Not the best advertised that would be Lennox, Carrier, & Trane - Just plain built better. Break furnaces down to thier component parts and try to argue with my dual diameter Stainless Steel Tubular heat exchangers. LIFETIME limited Entire Unit Replacement Heat Exchanger Warranties. But, never throw away something that's got life left in it. get an inducer assembly and fix your Dave anchor for now.
