Do you have a Dremel?

My Dremel is about 20 years old and I think it maybe time to by a new one.

I find the cutting wheel is very handy.

Anyone else use a dremel for there DIY projects?

When people break off the shaft on a switch and don't have the money to replace it, I will take my dremel and cut a slot in the shaft so a flat blade screwdriver can turn it.

I keep 2 on my truck. I go through periods where I never use them. I go through periods where it seems I can't stop using them. Mostly the abrasive cutoff disc they make. You can do some damage with one of those.
The barrel shaped sander is great to clean soap and rust off Direct Drive motor shafts.
When phillips head screws get rusty and won't turn or strip out I cut a slot and use a flat screwdriver.
Cutting seized bearings on commercial laundry machines, and the list goes on.

my dremel sharpens chains saws pretty good too.

i use mine for cutting open damaged coin op locks, just cut an X in the lock and a few taps with a chisel pop em right in

Must have tool only limited by the accessories that you have.
