Lost ring, Could be in Whirlpool washer or Roper dryer

Hi, I accidentally washed my wedding and engagement ring in the pocket of my jeans.  The engagement ring showed up with the clothes in the dryer but the wedding band is missing.

Can you give my husband and I some advice about where to look in the machines other than what the eye can see?

Before anyone else asks, we can't provide much help without the model numbers of the appliances, and each one should be dealt with separately, i.e. dryer first following this reply, as the ring is likely there. A new topic will be used for the washer, since it is a different product.
