Whirlpool Gold Dryer control panel not working

I checked the outlet voltage and it shows 240v, so I doubt that is the problem. I also replaced the control board, but still nothing. Do you have any other suggestions?

Remove the terminal cover on the rear of the dryer and check your voltage there. Make sure the dryer cord and dryer harness look good there also.
You did say the service tech confirmed a bad board, didn't you?

Any chance that there might be a loose connection at the wall outlet, especially the Neutral connection? Your symptoms seem to point to an intermittant or floating Neutral.

The breaker wiring needs to be checked also for loose connections.

When the tech came to check the dryer, he checked everything and said everything seems to be in working order (all diagnostic tests were normal). I asked him if there was any way to check if the control board was in working order and he said "no."  Therefore, he diagnosed the control board as being the problem.

The odd thing is that first my dryer went out, then two weeks later, my heater stopped working. This house is nearly five years old so I would think appliances should last longer than that.
