I wanted to upgrade from old washer and dryer since they are starting to show some age.  I purchased a Neptune TL yesterday since they were the rage when they first came out.  I have a leak when the tub fills.  The unit that sprays the water into the soap dispenser appears to be leaking.  I reseated the soap unit but that did not seem to correct the issue.  I think it leaks more when filling the tub versus on the rinse cycle.  Is it the unit that contains the spray nozzles?  Is it more common that the hose going from the spay nozzles to the inital module that the hoses hook to?  Suggestions?  See if I can get my money back or fix the unit?

You likely need an inner lid assembly which comes with a new seal. The part number is 25001084 .

If I remember correctly, we only made a FAV6800, not 6200, but whatever you say...

The T/L was only made for 3 years and was fraught with issues. It was designed to compete with the Calypso that WP was bringing out at the time (2001), but ended up being the consolation prize for those who won in the class action  lawsuits on the front loaders.

As we all found out later down the road both the Calypso and the Neptune TL turned out to be a piece o' junk.

If looking at the current or used market for a new washer....what would be a solid model that can handle a king size comforter?

Any of the domestic front loaders are desgned with comforters in mind. My preference leans toward the Whirlpool Duet or the Maytag Neptune as first picks, simply due to the ease of parts and service later down the road. Avoid GE & the Euro stuff if possible. No top loaders will handle what you have in mind.

Never buy a new style of appliance until it has been on the street for at least 2 years. The first Neptune owners are still eating %$% over their impulse to buy the "latest rage". Due to an uncommon trend towards greed, manufacturers have virtually skipped all the time trials they used to run for quality control, instead trying to keep ahead of new technology from the East. When stuff like this first shows up, it has all kinds of things wrong with it. The clever manufacturers let you be the  guinea pigs now instead of waiting for lab results.

Repair-man once again you are bang on . I see so many people buying into the new product bull@#&#    Usually these appliances are all show and no go . Wait a while until they are debugged
