Hi all again. The model # is correct & it is electric. The model # is stated right on the door.
Anyway, I finally found time to move the washer out of the way & pull out the dryer to tear it apart. I found a ton (~1/2” of lint on the floor, all over the back & inside the back panel.) Even though the repair man said it was blowing well no way was it. I remove the lint screen & then the lint housing that goes to the blower motor & found that the lint housing was almost full of lint & debris, like ear rings, paper clips & other junk. It was a real fire hazard inside but nothing happen as of yet.
Anyway, the blower motor blew the thin foam seal between the lint housing & the blower hosing because it was full. Is there a specific foam seal I should use or are they all kind of standard? Hopefully any dryer manufactures seal will work. I’ll have to look around.
Also, where does the dryer get its air intake from? I understand the path from the heating element, through the dryer drum, through the lint screen, then down the lint shoot, though the blower & out the vent. I guessing from the venting on the back cover & any other place air can flow into the dryer?
Thank for the help everyone.
