Furnace fan keeps running after normal shutoff by thermostat.

Fan keeps running after normal shutoff by thermostat.  Gas goes off but fan still runs until I reset or shut off furnace.  I would like for the gas to also shutoff just a minute or less after gas turns off.  I have the fan set on automatic, not on run.

The fan will run normally till the heat is removed from the furnace. if it stays running then the fan limit or the fan sensor is stuck.
