when my gas  dryer has no clothes it drys good when i put clothes in it stops drying but keeps tumbling could it be the coils help me

Always disconnect the exhaust vent before testing the temperature of the output air. Do not put clothes in the dryer but start a 60 minute timed dry cycle. With your thermometer in back, the temps should cycle between 160 and 120 degrees as the thermostats respond. If the tempsfall off after a few minutes, the coils are likely bad.

If the temps stay good thru the whole cycle, your vent is the issue.

When ther is no cloathes in the dryer, the coils work perfectly well  (120-160). When I put clothes in it, the coils don't work, and there is no heat with clothes in the dryer.

If it does the same thing with the vent hose removed, replace the coils.
