My manual reset thermostat is tripping. I just got this LG
DLG0332W dryer used, and again, the previous owner claimed it worked without issue. I can reset it, but it will trip again. I am not sure what to fix. I am looking for a root-cause on why it is tripping. I know the ignitor, valve, flame sensor, etc all work because if I reset the thermostat it will start up and work perfectly for 1 load before tripping the sensor again.
The dryer vents through the roof with a 4" metal duct. Everything is recently cleaned.
Does it mean there is too much restriction in the ductwork? Too tight of a space and the whole thing is getting choked for air and therefore too hot? Can I adjust the gas valve for a little less heat or something?
Did you have any luck with fixing your dryer with the same issue? Thanks in advance.
