AJ, the HVAC forum is missing.  ???

The HVAC board was a trial thing.

After having only something like 28 topics posted in the last ten months I decided to move the topics from the HVAC board to the "Appliance Repair - General Discussion" board and close the HVAC board.

Not questioning your judgement on this, but maybe having a separate topic will not only allow certain experts to contain  a volume of posts to one category, but would generate extra parts sources as well. Ya have to look at the big pitcher :)

Removing the Technician Brian category was not mentioned :)

Removing the Technician Brian category was not mentioned

It was mentioned in our "AJ Team" board.

Some site changes.

We also moved all the topics from the TechnicianBrian board into the other forum boards and closed the TechnicianBrian board. As you may have known the TechnicianBrian board was more or less a copy of Brians blog post.

I believe the copy and paste of Brians blog post to our forum may have been hurting our google page ranking.

You can still read Brians blog at http://www.technicianbrian.com/

Brian is still a "AJ Team" member and all his old post can still be found in the forums.
Hope you find our site helpful.

I started the HVAC forum for the Samurai and it took some time for it to get going PLUS it took some time for some of the younger guys to show up and participate but it is turning out to be a winner. You need to rethink killing the HVAC board.

I don't think Brian was messing up the site neither. I think he was contributing big time. Expanding our minds. He did not even have to do that. This site is more than an ordinary web site, this is a think tank. You need to hold onto every fabric of this coat you are weaving from the low and the slow to the high and the mighty. This site is working. My opinion.
PS I googled appliance repair and ApplianceJunk came up third yesterday. I gotta think me and a bunch of others along with yourself have kicked a bunch of appliance repair forum butt to get it where it is today. Now I don't know about you but 3rd is better than 3 gazillionth like my site is.

I don't think Brian was messing up the site neither.

Brian was not messing up the site, I was by coping his original work from his blog and reposting it here on our forums.

Google likes original content, not copies of post from other peoples sites.

It would be no different then if I was reposting every topic from the Samurai site or any other appliance repair site, it just don't make any sense to do that.

I also talked to Brain about this before I did it and like I said before none of his post were deleted, they were just moved to the other boards.

Hope you find our site helpful.

Well that makes plenty sense. I thank you for making that one clear. Now about that HVAC board?

How cool is that.  O0

I can't thank you and all the other team members enough for the help you have given our site.

And when I say our site, I do really feel this site belong to all the technicians that help out. It started out as "my website", but I feel it has grown into a great online community for all of us.

Having so much great help gives me more time to work on the PR and other programing task.

It's not just by luck that we have gotten such a good google page ranking in such a short amount of time.

I hope we can keep moving on up.  O0

I already Voted for the HVAC board.

I would be glad to help out when I can. Don't know how much time I would have to help members with there repairs, but as time permits I would be happy to post some HVAC information.

I could start some Wiki or "How to" type of topics in the HVAC board if you decide to start one up?

Nice appliance repair forum you got going here AJ. :)
