WCXR1070TAWW- GE washer continues to overflow

i am frustrated and TIRED of cleaning up water.  I changed the knob on the left (which is listed as the pressure something or another and the water fill valve).  It is the one that senses the water level?  It will continue to fill and then over the top and frequently does not spin.  I started using the smaller load cycle prior to replacing the knob and tht was ok, but again with the not spinning.  I am DONE DONE DONE!  Can anyone help??

Don't change the knob. Change the water level switch.
Also, disconnect the water level hose from the switch and blow through it to dislodge soap and debris.
Check your water valve where your hoses connect also.
The spinning part could be a bad lid switch.
All correctable problems at a cost way less than a new washer if you DO IT YOURSELF.

Before ya buy any parts. Take the airtight pressure tube loose from the water level switch and blow out the trash that has settled in the bottom of the tub. Securely fasten the hose back to the switch. Pump the water out. Retry.This is a very common prob on these here washers. No parts needed. Just a little TLC

We did not change the knob, it was the switch... with that being said he traced out the next thing which was the hose.  YOu could blow to make the switch click (up the hose) but not the other way.  It cost me $30 bucks a little time (tht I got to spend with my husband) and we fixed it with a FREAKIN' TWIST-TIE!!  Go figure.  Ugghh.  Thanks for your help and time!
