Maytag Neptune Dryer Heating Element

I have this dryer that is a little over a year old and the heating element has went out, The part is discontinued and I need to know if there is a replacement or a rewind kit. the part number is 31001988 I think.  Please any info on locating or repairing is need.

Did I mention I hate Maytag   :ticked off:

Heater element & brac - no longer available - This part has been permanently discontinued by the manufacturer

This unit is more than just a year old...they have not made them since 2005. The reason you cannot substitute a regular 5KW element coil  into the heater box is because this element  has been tapped to allow a 3.5 KW low heat setting. (You'll notice the element has 3  teminals insead of the usual 2.)

This was one of Whirlpools decisions when they bought Maytag in 2006 was to close the factories that made this machine and discontinue the parts.

This place claims to have a restring kit, but I have never purchased from them, buyer beware.

Krazy you gotta contact H&H fer a price. They ain't retailers so you gonna need an account. It is worth it to get all your elements from them. Saves a ton of money. hay you know whats hot and what's not in the world of appliance element replacement right? Get up an order dude.
