The wire linkage from the door to the interlock on our Amana Radarange Touchmatic RS-40 (mfg. 1988) broke with the door closed. Now we can't get the door to open.
After removing the sheet metal cover, I see an access hole to the interlock, presumably to open the door manually. But I can't figure out how it works. Push something in? Insert something and move up-and-down or side-to-side? Insert and rotate a special tool?
I don't have (and haven't been able to find) a service manual. Can anyone help? How do you open the door with no linkage to the interlock?
