Your model has the Acceler-Ice feature, if I recall...a booster fan under the icemaker to enhance production.
None of this works if the water valve is not letting water to the icemaker. Here's a simple way to find out...take the white cover off the icemaker and insert an insulated jumper wire into the holes marked V and L. This supplies power to the water valve. If water enters when this jumper is in place, we know 2 things:
1. The icemaker is bad
2. The valve is OK
Of course, always check the obvious, a frozen up fill tube behind the icemker will create similar complaints.
