The washer has been leaving clothes wet.  I ran it through a cycle.  On the final spin, it doesn't spin.  It just sits there.  It sounds like the pump is running.  It sprays the clothes twice with water, but since it never spins, that's why the clothes are wet.  The spin between wash and rinse worked fine (started slow spin as it drained, sped up, sprayed clothes as it spun, continued to spin and drain.)  Ran it agin.  If I open and close the lid while it is sitting there not spinning, it kicks into a high spin and finishes up fine.

This washer has a neutral pack installed in the tranny. The original version of this washer did not have one. What the neutral pack does is allow the water to pump out of the machine without placing a burden on the motor by trying to pump and spin simultaneously as the original washer did. The idea being the motor would last longer. If the timer does not stop the washer for the small pause required to shift the spin pawl then the clothes will all be soaking wet at the end of the cycle as you prescribe. Jumpy is right. Change the timer.
