PLEASE HELP me with my Kenmore 70 series Dryer

Hello,

As I start the dryer and look through the hole in the front bottom left corner, I can see that the flame comes on and stays on for a few minutes before going out. Every once in a while I can see the glow come back on, but no flame, then the glow goes away again... If I run the dryer 8 times, the clothes will eventually get dry, but this is driving me nuts!

I tried disconnecting the exhaust vent to see if that was causing the problem, but it did not appear to make a difference. There was a strong discharge of air coming out of the dryer, so it does not appear to be blocked in any way.

Hopefully this is enough info to get a good diagnosis... Any help is greatly appreciated.

You need to replace the gas valve coils, part number 279834.

I agree with TG replace those intermittent coils. They work when cold but die when hot with age.
