Maytag Neptune Spin Problem/Contoller board not burnt

I've been going through the troubleshooting steps.  I've checked the resister - no apparent problem (not burnt). Did the Drive system diagnostics - no problem.  But I noticed something interesting after I reattached the jp4 connector.  If I close the door and put it on spin, the door locked light comes on as it should, it spins at the proper speed, approx 50 rpm, for about three reversals. On the fourth reversal, it stops spinning and will not spin any more.  If I open the door and hold down the door switch, (but the door latch is not engaged)  it spins just fine without stopping.  Can anyone tell me whether this is a problem with the door lock wax motor or with the control board? Thanks!

Thanks for the reply.  I checked it out.  However his problem was that the machine would not spin at all.  Mine works at first then quits.
I held in the door switch, pushed the door lock fork in manually until it clicked, the door locked light comes on but I still have the same problem.  It is always the same.  It spins right, then left, then right - and when it starts back left again it quits and will no longer spin.    Thanks!  :-P

The it's not spinning at all.

Check the motor control board at the bottom right front corner of the washer.
Take a close look for burnt parts on the control board.



You will need to open the door and remove the two hing screws and the two other screws on the other side of the door frame.

Then remove the front of the washer.

If the motor control board on the bottom of the washer looks ok then I would check the door switch.

You have two switches in the door. One works the light that you see come on and the other one has to be closed for the washer to spin.

Take a look at the motor board first.
