crazy motors

I have a nother washer with one of those  motors with the boards built into. Of course it has voltage but does not spinn.  I heard through the customer that they have issues with those motors. and to make them work u have to
unplug the unit for 10 min than lift the lid open 7 times and than plug it back in and that will re-set the motor.

Has anybody heard of this???/
