Bad pump. when it is empty take the hose off the top of the pump, while holding the impeller (fins) stationary reach under the washer & turn the pulley. If the pulley turns & the fins don't, bad pump. Sometimes we look for the complicated answer because it can't be simple!

If you replace all the major players on this washer you will have a better washer than anything on today's market.

as long as the tranmission does't go out.

So at this point I should replace the motor and the pump. I will go and price the motor and pump tomorrow. If I have enough left I will buy them both.

Question, the box mount on top of the motor with all the wires going to it what does it do exactly?

Thanks

Start off this way, when starting the washer, fill with water, and it go back and forth for the wash part, next it should drain for the rinse, but does not. When it get to the spin cycle the tub is still fill with water.  Tub is spinning counter clockwise, and as well as the motor. I can see motion in the of water flowing counter clockwise also.

If the two pump hoses are not plugged, collapsed or kinked then replace the water pump.

I try what you suggested. I held the impeller (fins), and turn the pulley/shaft. The impeller (fins) did not move. If I understand you correctly, the pump then bad. I see if I can't find one in town, but I still price what motor cost just in case.

Not refer to the drop shield, I have already remove that so I could see the motor.

Thanks

Glad you got it before buying a $100.00+ motor, Keep that machine as long as you can, they are far superior to any machine made today.
