A strange thing has happened to my washer, washed a load, then 1 day later I notice there is water standing in the wash basin. When I opened the door, I noticed that the dials do not light up. The plug works, its getting power, what puzzles me is how the water got into the machine. I live alone, no one else uses the machine, so I'm not sure how it would happen. Has anyone experienced this? I hope is just a breaker or fuse problem and nothing more serious.

Might be a faulty water valve that is stuck open but water would flow contiuosly. Try setting to spin/drain to get the water out and see if it does it again.
