Don't know about you, but I'd be on my way out to my truck to fetch a new MCU. The motor is OK, just be sure the tiny wires on the connections to it are ok.

OK, except my truck doesn't have a MCU in it. In fact, I don't even have a truck...

Anyone got any leads on where I can get my hands on a MCU? I am in Hawaii, so it will have to be a place that ships...

The last time I checked, Hawaii is still America, so shipping is a moot issue

Last thing - does the testing imply that that is what my problem is? I'm trying to avoid paying $150 plus shipping to learn that that does not solve my problem (if that is possible...)

The new MCU did the trick. The washer is working! My thanks to Repair-man and JWWebster for their help.

Here are some pics of the old MCU showing some electrical damage. From now on all my expensive electrical components will be used with decent quality surge suppression, etc. I mean, these things are as expensive as a HDTV, might as well give them appropriate protection.
