LG Electric Dryer Timer Problem

LG DLE2514W Dryer - When setting control to auto, normal mode. The time comes up 40 minutes.
Then after 3-5 minutes the time is 14 minutes. It is heating normally but shutting
off to soon and clothes aren't dry. Set on time dry it counts down right.
Could the drum/clothes sensor be the failure. And if so where is it located.

The sensor should be located just below the lint filter slot.
Try cleaning it with alcohol.
