Frigidaire- Ice maker & water dispensing from door randomly

Yesterday our side by side started spitting out ice and water on the floor randomly.  The ice would just dispense for seconds to several minutes.  I shut off the water, dumped the ice, and unplugged the ice maker.  I plugged it in again this morning, and it continued acting possessed. 

It should be under warranty; however, I get the impression from the person I talked to at Frigidaire that it won't be. 

I'm away from it at the moment, and don't know the model.  It was purchased this year. 

Any idea what could be wrong that I could fix?  Any guesses on how much it should cost to repair?

This is my input on what we usually find...

Moisture penetrates up into the dispenser board and causes a short. Frigidiaire is not alone with this problem, and there are service kits for each model. You'd need to delve into the unit to see what is shorted. Asing a technical question without providing the model is a waste of your time.

Most likely you should not fool with it since for now it will be covered for free. Do not listen to these jerks on the phone line...if it was purchased less than a year ago, call Frigidaire headquarters if the repair service you are dealing with tries to charge you!! Thats ludicrous..

One year means one year..whether it be a board failure or a $3 switch.
