slow spin partial drain

Kenmore 80 series washer has slow spin when loaded and only partially drains

This model will not achieve full spin if the tub does not drain properly. The usual finding is debris in the pump. You'll find directions for cabinet removal, etc on this forum and the direct drive manual will also be of help.

All you need to do at this point is remove the cabinet, remove both pump hoses and do some inspectin'.

The pump seems clear and clean, but I noticed when I pulled the washer
from the wall the hose to the laundry tub had a small twist in it. Could that
be enough to goof it up?

Thanks for the help guys, it drains and spins great.  BUT, the water
level shut off does not work, it wants to fill to the top and beyond.
Yes this is a new problem brought on by me. Any ideas?

There is a clear plastic hose that runs from the  base of the tub to the top console. It provides air pressure to the water level switch. If you opened the top console to remove the cabinet, the hose may have become dislodged or pinched between the cabinet and rear panel during reassembly. Either way, the pressure switch can't see the water level.

So sliceofthepie what did you do to the washer to get it working again?

I put a new discharge hose on(a wire coiled one that won't kink) and hooked up
the clear tube to the water level switch that I had neglected to do upon re-assembly. That was it. I'm glad I didn't use the sledge hammer, this was cheaper!!  Thanks again.
