Hell he might not have been a troll. Just a guy who wanted to know why he had a zero reading at the defrost control on his heat pump. I know that window unit heat pumps have a probe running out to the coil and when the temp gets cold enough i just assumed the reversing valve throws it into cooling mode to thaw out the sucker. To me he obviously had a bad defrost board on that unit of his.
