The cycle selector control does not rotate.  I have to manually advance to next cycle.  It will fill and agitate but I have to manually go to spin, rinse etc.  I have replaced the timer but nothing has changed.  The ETC control has been checked and found to be OK. Most wiring has been checked for continuity with positive results.

Hi,
        The last test message looks like it was sent to you. You asked how and who tested the ETC board for our Kenmore Elite Washer. I removed it from the slot that was holding it, took it to a TV repair shop, the fellow put a small load on each component and all tests had a positive result. He suggested that I check out the power getting to the board itself, I don't have that kind of knowledge to get this done. Also, what is this coupler that I've been reading about on your other posts that seems to be a big problem?.

One problem at a time, please.

You allege that your timer does not advance even though you replaced the timer. Despite the fact that a TV guy looked at the ATC board does not mean it passed inspection. He has no way of checking the EEPROM chip.

The board controls the Neutral curcuit to the timer motor. If the timer does not advance, chances are a new board will make it happen.

Let's not worry about couplers until the time comes...that's a whole nother avenue...

   Our washer is functioning the same way after installing a new ETC board and new timer switch, still need to manually move timer. Please let me know what else I can look at.

You must have a meter to perform voltage tests from this point  forward.  The timer must be getting 120 volts at the timer motor for it to advance. Obviously this is not the case, and no amount of guesswork can help you now.
