Replaced the bake element in my oven and it still won't heat.  The
broiler will heat but no heat through the new element.  I know
it is getting current but I wonder if I have wired it incorrectly.
It is a 3 wire set-up with two black connectors on one lead and one
yellow on the other lead.  Anyone have any suggestions?  (Priced
new ovens today - so I am motivated to fix it)

You say it gets current but unless you know how much current, the element may not heat. Don't worry about the 3 wires, the 2 black ones go on one terminal and the yellow is fed from the control. You must use a proper voltmeter to see if there is 240 volts to the bake element terminals when the control is set to bake. There won't be.
If the old bake element shorted out, chances are it took the control relay with it.

Thanks for the reply.  I can get ahold of a a multimeter, but since I am a novice I am a little nervous
about plugging in the oven and testing it with current going through it.  If I can
get someone to test it and I find out the relay is shot, how hard/expensive is it to replace
that?

They don't call it Generous Electrocutor for nothing

You will need a whole new clock, as the bake and the broil relays on all electronic ovens are within the clock assembly as the picture of your oven clock shows below (the  black thing with the yellow dot on the clock is the bake relay)

The part is only about $100 and easy to  change out. Use your model number to research the part.
