how to determine oven wattage

We own an obscure brand of oven (the front of the oven says it's a Roy brand Satellite I) purchased from a roommate's uncle, so we don't have a manual and can't find it on google. We need to replace the bake element, but we don't know how to determine the oven's wattage in order to purchase the correct element from the hardware store. How can we figure out what our oven's wattage is? If we put in an element built for the wrong wattage will it result in disaster or not be a big deal? Please help!

is there a model number on the Oven ?

All oven elements  have the wattage and voltage rating stamped in very tiny letters on one of the inside ends of the element. It is stamped long-ways along the element, starting about 1" from the terminal end. You may need to get your reading glasses on or use a magnifier, since the print is  quite tiny, but it is there.
