Roper washer shaking

Our Roper washing machine started shaking when spinning. I put a level on top of it to make sure it was balanced. It still shook violently. I found the breakdown at http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=256978.  I checked all 3 suspension springs and the balance spring.  They all look good.  What else can I do to diagnose the problem?

check the balance ring. It may have come loose from the top of the tub.
