Oil leaks and clothes still wet after cycle complete

My Whirlpool washing machine has a problem of oil leaks and the clothes still kind of wet after cycle complete. Please help and let me know what should I check and what part should I replace. Thank you.

Hi,

If the inside of the cabinet looks like the one in the photo below then your tranny is leaking oil.
The oil gets in the clutch and makes the clutch slip.

If the oil is leaking out of the top of the gearbox I would replace the gearbox and clutch.

Just enter your model number in the appliance parts box in the top right corner to get the correct parts.

I have seen this type of occurance in older GEs but not in a direct drive.This has got to be weirdest yet....Was that washer in a flood? I bet that thang went under water at some time in its life.

I see a lot of them that looks like that.
Maybe not as dark, but the same oil mark at that hight.
Same hight as the top of the tranny.
