Neptune Dryer
« on: December 01, 2008, 10:06:19 AM »
The dryer appears to have a trouble code where the digital display is for the drying time.  The code reads 8.8. and will not erase nor will any of the other functions work.  Is the circuit board burned or shorted out?  Any Suggestions?

It's the control. When you order the control, be sure to have the correct serial number, as they were changed 3 times during production of the 5500 series. The first 2 digits in a Maytag serial number indicate the  "series"
