I have this same model washer and have had a similar but I think different problem with it.
It works find thru the first spin cycle.. refills with water.. but when it is to spin the 2nd time, it does not spin.. the drain pump comes on.. it sucks out all it can, but does not kick into spinning. I would think if it were the motor or transmission, it would always or never work. When I catch it, I turn the knob around back to the first spin position and it spins then.. I just end the cycle after that to be done.
It can't be the lid switch since it stops agitating when I open the lid and an ohm meter says it closes the circuit when I make the switch.
I read on some models that the fill level switch can have some affect on spinning so I cleaned out the tube.. and that made no difference.
I was assuming it was the timer mechanism (pn 100 on the schematic ).. Is this a good guess?
Its current other problem, also that I have seen others with is that it won't work on the slow agitate or spin speed positions as I hear nasty clicking and the lights in the house dim. A repair guy came out (i was desparate) and said its that speed of the motor that's shot.. but on fast agitate/spin, it seems to work fine... It also may overflow while filling on SUPER, i assumed it was splashing on clothes over the top but I have never watched it happen so can't really know. I have heard that it could be due to it spinning with too much water and it just flys off the top.
My main problem is the spinning now..
Any help is appreciated.
